We encourage research librarians to list this journal among their library's electronic journal holdings. As an open-access publication, the South African Computer Journal is freely available to all users and creates no subscription cost for your institution.

SACJ is published under a gold open-access model. All content is published under an open licence, meaning your patrons can read, download, and share articles without any authentication, proxy, or institutional access requirement. There are no embargo periods.

Persistent Identifiers

Every published article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). DOIs resolve to the article's landing page and are included in article metadata to support long-term discovery and citation tracking.

Metadata and Interoperability

Article pages expose structured metadata in Google Scholar (Highwire Press), Dublin Core, Open Graph, and Twitter Card formats. This facilitates harvesting and integration with library discovery systems, institutional repositories, and citation tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, and RefWorks.

Archiving

Authors are encouraged to deposit their accepted manuscripts in institutional or subject repositories. Librarians wishing to include SACJ content in an institutional digital collection may do so under the terms of the journal's open licence.
