We encourage readers to sign up for the publishing notification service for this journal. Use the Contact page to express your interest. This registration will result in the reader receiving the Table of Contents by email for each new issue of the journal. This list also allows the journal to claim a certain level of support or readership.
Open Access
The South African Computer Journal is a fully open-access journal. All articles are freely available immediately upon publication. There are no subscription fees or pay-per-view charges. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles without any financial, legal, or technical barrier.
About the Journal
SACJ publishes original, peer-reviewed research in Computer Science, Information Systems, and related fields. While we maintain a focus on South Africa and the broader African continent, papers of wider international interest are also considered.
Each article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) ensuring permanent, stable links that resolve to the article abstract page and full-text PDF.
Searching and Browsing
You can search the full-text of all published articles using the search bar at the top of every page. You can also browse by volume and issue on the Archives page, or jump directly to the Current Issue.
Citation and Indexing
SACJ is indexed in Scopus and carries CiteScore ratings. All article pages include standardised Google Scholar, Dublin Core, Open Graph, and Twitter Card metadata to support citation management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, and EndNote.
